Lumber and price list definitions

Board Foot: one board foor is equal to lumber that 1 inch thick by 12 inches by 12 inches. It is similiar to a square foot. It does not mean linear foot. For example, a board that is 6" wide by 1" thick by 10 feet is only 5 board feet. A board that is 12" wide by 1" by 10 feet is 10 board feet.

Bunkhouse grade: Lumber that is great for someone who isn't afraid to work with wood. It is rough cut, and has character markings that make it perfect for many projects-like a bunkhouse. It's perfect for those looking for a great deal in lumber.

Mid grade: This lumber referred to ofter as #1 & #2 common. The grain is a little more pronounced and the board is generally free from most cracking and checking, although a little should be expected.

High Grade: This is our top of the line clear lumber. The grain pattern is beautiful and boards are full of quality and character. It is a little more expensive, but is worth every penny because of the way it looks.

Other: We have many other cuts of lumber and grain patterns available for our customers. We try to list the current available inventory of quilted, spalted, curly, and unique pieces here. Because of the unique natures of each board quantities are limited with certain species. Please call for pricing on these.
